    Disability Employment Initiative (DEI) Program Online Application

    The Disability Employment Initiative (DEI) application is live!

    1. Go to www.illinoisworknet.com/aboutDEI and learn more about the DEI Program.
    2. Complete the starter or full online application.

    Disability Employement Initiative LogoThis program is for Illinois residents:

    • With a disability
    • Between the ages of 14-64.
      • Ages 18-64 for the following counties: Lake, Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Perry, Williamson
      • Ages 14-24 for the following counties: DuPage, Northern Cook

    As part of this program you will receive updates and information to help you reach your career, training and employment goals. This includes information for:

    • Employment Search
    • Training
    • Financial Counseling and Assistance
    • Support Services

    Please go to www.illinoisworknet.com/aboutDEI and complete the starter application. This will let you know if you are eligible for the program based on your ZIP Code. If so, a career planner from the local area will contact you to discuss the program in more detail.

    Currently the age eligibility requirement for DEI in DuPage county is 16-24 years old. However there are other providers in the area that may be able to provide assistance. However, Illinois workNet has a job search tool (https://www2.illinoisworknet.com/Jobs/Pages/IndeedJobSearch.aspx) as well as a service locator tool (https://www2.illinoisworknet.com/Connect/Pages/LocationSearch.aspx). Service providers in your local area my be able to provide transportation assistance.
