Certified Training Providers
Part of the WIA (Workforce Investment Act) federal legislation provides funding for individuals to retrain for a new occupation. If an individual is eligible for WIA retraining money, they are awarded an Individual Training Account (ITA). ITAs can be used only at approved schools for WIA certified programs. Certified Training Providers offer training programs that are currently certified by the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and the Illinois Workforce Development System (IWDS).
These training programs are approved for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Local Workforce Innovation Boards identified them as programs that are qualified for WIOA-funded training. One of the requirements for many of these programs is that they lead to high-demand occupations in Illinois. Use the searches below to review options for:

Illinois workNet Centers throughout Illinois provide WIOA services to individuals who wish to apply for available training programs or obtain other services.
