September 18 – 22 is Adult Education and Family Literacy Week. The goal of this week is to raise awareness about the importance of adult education and family literacy. In the U.S., the number of adults who struggle with basic academic skills is approximately 36 million. This makes it difficult for individuals to achieve their education and work-related goals. As adult literacy connects with many social issues, it is very important to highlight the need to help others acquire these essential college and career skills.
Access toolkits, resources, and learn how you can participate for this week at the Adult Education and Family Literacy Week website.
