During April 2015, Digital Public Library of America held the DPLAFest in Indianapolis. At this event, DPLA announced their Learning Registry Collaboration. The collaboration is to share primary sources for learning through the Learning Registry. This means that as DPLA shares resources through their numerous members and digital collections, the ISLE Open Educational Resources system will automatically make them available to educators and learners. Currently through ISLE OER, teachers can find the DPLA Exhibitions.
The Digital Public Library of America is looking for excellent educators for its new Education Advisory Committee. They recently announced a new grant from the Whiting Foundation that funds the creation of new primary source-based education resources for student use with teacher guidance.
