Building skilled talent for Illinois' electric industry
​​The Craft Apprenticeship Program provides funding for accredited apprenticeship programs that prepare participants for careers in specific crafts, trades, and technical roles within the electric industry. Established under the Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA), the program supports registered or U.S. Department of Labor recognized  apprenticeship programs that deliver hands-on technical training, workplace readiness skills, and industry-recognized certifications.

Participants who complete the program are prepared for apprenticeship opportunities in electric industry trades as well as entry-level and long-term employment in skilled crafts.

​Employers can connect with an ET Navigator to gain access to participants who have completed the FEJA Craft Apprenticeship Program and are ready to begin positions with clean energy employers. Employers may also find qualified workers through the Illinois Power Agency’s Energy Workforce Equity Portal.​
