September 22 – 28 is Adult Education and Family Literacy Week. The goal of this week is to raise awareness about the importance of adult education and family literacy. In the U.S., the number of adults who struggle with basic academic skills is approximately 36 million. This makes it difficult for individuals to achieve their education and work-related goals. As adult literacy connects with many social issues, it is very important to highlight the need to help others acquire these essential college and career skills.
