One Summer Chicago, started by Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s office,
presents more than 31,000 job opportunities for those living in Chicago. The
program offers corporate and community employment opportunities for Chicago teenagers
and young adults (ages 14 to 24). Young job seekers can explore careers in
areas ranging from corporate office work to nutrition and working with the
local park district.
One Summer Chicago is an excellent opportunity for young job
seekers to find suitable jobs and develop skills that will help them prepare
for future employment, while simultaneously making a positive impact in their
community. This is a great experience for individuals wanting to explore and
jump-start their careers. Those accepted into the program will have a greater
advantage when applying to part-time and full-time jobs later in life.
If you, or someone you know, are interested in this exciting,
