    JTED-SNAP Pilot Project Grant Opportunity - RFA Released

    The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity in partnership with the Illinois Department of Human Services has announced the release of the Request for Application (RFA) for the JTED-SNAP Pilot Project Grant Program.

    ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:
    To be eligible for a grant under this program, the respondents to this RFA must be CBO’s that have the best capacity to fully implement the collaborative JTED-SNAP program model that leverages and integrates these federal and state programs. CBO’s must have demonstrated success in administering career training and placement programs and have the capacity to run a work experience component including being the “Employer of Record”.

    The seven regions defined by the Local Workforce Development Areas (LWDA) are targeted for this opportunity and consist of the following counties: Adams, Boone, Brown, Clinton, Cook, DeWitt, Franklin, Fulton, Hancock, Henderson, Jackson, Jefferson, Knox, Macon, Marshall, Mason, McDonough, McLean, Monroe, Peoria, Perry, Pike, Randolph, Schuyler, St. Clair, Stark, Stephenson, Tazewell, Warren, Washington, Williamson, Winnebago, and Woodford.

    NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPLY:
    Eligible applicants wishing to apply must submit a non-binding notification of intent to apply by October 1, 2015 to JTED-SNAP@illinoisworknet.com. This notification is available under RFA Documents on the right side of the RFA page.

    GRANT INFORMATION:
    The estimated project period of performance is currently expected to be January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2017, subject to change. The approved budget will cover expenses for the same period of time. DUE DATE: Proposals must be received by the Department no later than October 28, 2015 by 5:00 pm.
