Both speakers shared their knowledge and expertise with our listeners on what a job club is and why you should attend. They gave us examples of what happens at a typical job club and the benefits of participating in a job club. While every job club varies, you will always have the opportunity to network, learn something, and share information with others. One of the benefits discussed in detail was knowing that you are not alone.
Jan and Jim also shared their ideas on how to find the right job club(s) and how to determine how often you should participate. We also covered how to use virtual tools like the
Illinois Virtual Job Club Network if an in-person job club is not close or you are short on time.
One of the last discussions of the webinar focused on additional networking resources that you can use in addition to job clubs. Listen to the webinar to find out what percentage of jobs are found through networking.
