  • Attend a pre-layoff Help for Laid Off Worker Assistance Workshop. Individuals are highly encouraged to attend this workshop to help prepare them for your next steps.

  • Participate with a Dislocated Worker Program Application Session to determine eligibility for additional benefits and services. To participate with this session, attendance at a pre-layoff Help for Laid Off Worker Assistance Workshop is recommended. If individuals do not sign up at the pre-layoff workshops they will need to contact 1-815-625-3623 Ext. 104 or Email Sharel.Wolber@highland.edu for instructions and to register for a session.

    All sessions will be held at Kable Fulfillment Services Inc. located at 315 E. Hitt Street, on Wednesday,  May 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Click here to see scheduled events.

  • Review all of your current benefits such as life insurance, health insurance, and pension fund in order to locate similar benefits within your budget. Follow the links below to learn more about:
  • Locate workshops to help you prepare for a job or career change and job fairs by searching events in your area.
  • Use Find a Resource Room to locate places where public computers are available for resume preparation and job searching.
