  The Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008 offers educational benefits for individuals who served on active duty on or after September 11, 2001. Benefits assist in paying for tuition and fees, a monthly housing allowance, books and supplies, and a onetime relocation cost when necessary. Benefits may even transfer to dependents. • Truck Driving Apprenticeship Program for Veterans

  

  

  
  

  Werner Enterprises has developed an exclusive Professional Truck Driving Apprenticeship Program.  Eligible Veterans will be able to draw on their VA educational benefits for a full year while generating an income as a professional truck driver.

  Some advantages include: Eligible Veterans can make up to $50,000 their first year by drawing on their VA educational benefits for a full year while earning a truck driver's salary & benefits; flexible routes allow approximately 60% of Werner Enterprises truck drivers to get home nightly and weekly; and Apprenticeship is a nationally recognized certification that includes a structured training program for skills development.
