For businesses, the website provides resources for recruiting employees at no cost. The website hosts a large volume of traffic which has increased steadily at 30% per quarter over the last year. In slightly more than a 6 month period, between July 1 and December 5, 2008, the site has welcomed 752,842 visitors. Based on the consistent increase in usage, the site will have well over 1,000,000 between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009. Businesses can leverage the websites traffic to connect to large pool of job candidates through a variety of options, all at no cost!

Employers access the large pool of job seekers through Illinois workNet through several options. The options include: job postings powered by careerbuilder, jobs opening promos and local listings, business branding web pages, Illinois Skills Match, spidering External link opens in a new window existing employer recruitment web pages, and by participating with local job fairs. All of these options are at no cost to legitimate Illinois’ employers. Options can be used individually or in tandem to optimize meeting an employer’s recruitment goals. This site is used by job seekers with a wide range of skills and education.
