ARRA Workforce Investment Act Sector-Based RFP

The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity is soliciting proposals under the Workforce Investment Act using ARRA funding to prevent dislocation, to support recovery in key sectors by accelerating investment in the skills of Illinois' workers, and to build upon regional sector-based initiatives. The four key sectors are Health Care and Health Care IT; Manufacturing; Transportation/Distribution/Logistics; and Green Initiatives. Bidder's Conferences were held August 21 in Chicago and August 24 in Springfield. Pre-Applications are to be submitted to DCEO by September 21 with full proposals submitted by September 28, 2009.
