Disability Resources 
The Illinois workNet® Disability Pathway offers resources for individuals and businesses to help people with disabilities meet their training and employment goals.

Assisting Individuals with Disabilities Entering the Workforce or Training Program

1. Learn about resources and/or tools that are available to individuals with disabilities on the disabilityworks site.  An interactive map External link opens in a new window is also available to search for Illinois workNet partner sites that offer services to the general public. Ensure that your site has identified services it offers to individuals with disabilities.  Contact your Illinois workNet Coordinator Link opens in a new window if information needs to be updated.

2. Use the Find a Job or Find a Program search to guide customers with disabilities to career and training opportunities.

3. Use the Prepare Your Resume and Prepare for an Interview tools to help customers with disabilities reach their employment goals.

Assisting Businesses or Training Providers who Accommodate Individuals with Disabilities

1. Learn more about hiring individuals with disabilities.
  • Review Tax Incentives available for businesses that hire people with disabilities.
  • Use the Disability Resources Search External link opens in a new window to find resources regarding rights and advocacy to learn about the reasonable accommodations that employees with disabilities may need to complete their daily tasks. Workforce professionals can also visit the Special Accommodations page in the Workforce Professionals Pathway to view a list of examples.

2. Use the Recruiting tools to search for potential employees with disabilities.
